WHITE SHIRT

The first brief introduced me to the fundamental principles and techniques required for the creative exploration of fashion design and the associated material and manufacturing technologies. It was the introduction to analysing, designing, pattern cutting and manufacturing.  Inspiration taken from Integrations exhibit at Leeds Museum looking at structural sculptures for research, compiling the findings, and translating them both 2 and 3 dimensionally. Practising a variety of techniques for communicating silhouette and detail through drawing, shape making, toiling, testing and sampling. Also looking closely at Junya Wantanabe which has origami influence which fuelled the detailing of my pocket detail within the shirt.
