Outerwear

The Trench, known for their use in the war, they also have history before the war era. Back before the war, these were popular with upper class, sport, aviators, explorers and adventures. Influenced by the versatility of the garment and inspiration from Yohji Yamamoto's practise I looked at multiway the idea my garment is endless taking many different forms. Having every part of my garment separate you can completely transform the coat from a collar bib to just a bolero.  Because the garment is so flexible it can suit many different consumers needs.  The new version must was fashion forward; innovative in design, fabrication & manufacturing techniques. In order to be successful, the finished garment was be compatible with the aesthetic values of Yohji Yamamoto's practise. Below is my garment presented in the Outerwear exhibition.
