Subcultures

The purpose of this brief  was to combine two subcultures which will juxtapose each-other to create our own subculture.  Looking at the tradition aspects of Teddy Boys and combining with Goth created a brand new style with elegance and brining traditional teddy shape to the 90s goth. I designed a range of 6-8 outfits that work together as a contemporary and cohesive collection, focusing on a bifurcated garment that was realised through your Pattern and Garment Technology.  Taking images of my own grandparents in the 50s gave me primary research into the Teddy style.I also used Ann Demeulemeester as a strong influence as I'm heavily influenced from her practise.
